Submittals Log

Top  Previous  Next

Submittals in this program refer to drawings, samples, and product information required by the various parties associated with the job, such as the architect and engineer, to verify that the correct products will be installed on the project.  The Submittal Log is used to track the progress of these submittals.  Each submittal is automatically assigned a sequential number within each job group.  Submittal requirements vary from project to project and due dates for submittals may vary as well.  For example, a sample color chart submittal from the painting contractor on a project may be required several weeks in advance before any painting is done on the project, while the Operations Manual for the HVAC Units might not be as critical and might be submitted towards the end of the project.  Submittals items can optionally be tied to the Project Closeout Log as most submittal items required near the end of a project tend to be included on the job closeout punch list.  Please refer to the Job Closeout Log for more information on linking submittal records to the job closeout process.
