General Information

 


 

RFI Number - This number is automatically assigned by the system.

 

Origination Date - The date and time is automatically logged when a new RFI is created.

 

Category - Select one category code from the list set up for the job.

 

Description - This field will display on the PM Log.  Double click on this field to open the Rich Text Editor to enter or paste unlimited text.  To change the font, select the text and then right-mouse click to show the pop up menu.  Select the font, click Apply and then click Save.  Note:  Rich text fields cannot be formatted within the ReportBuilder Pro program.  You must change the font from within this screen.

 

Subject - Enter a short description to describe the RFI.  This text will appear in the subject field on the printed RFI.

 

Initiated By - Select a company name from the list of companies that were attached to a category on the job.  If your company is initiating the RFI, then select your company name and enter your name in the Contact field.  (Be sure to set up a category with your company name attached to it so that you may select it in this field)

 

Contact - Select a name from the list of team members on the job or manually enter a name.

 

Building / Floor / Room / Work Area - Select descriptions from the list that have already been established for the job.

 

Architect's RFI and Contractor's RFI - Enter as applicable.

 

Proposed Solution - Click on this field to open this memo field.  This field is not a rich text field so the font cannot be changed on this screen.  If you want to change the font, you will need to modify the RFI form and modify the format from that screen.

 

Status and Status Date - Select from a pre-defined list for the status and enter the date.  

Note:  These fields will be updated automatically if you utilize the Correspondence Tab.

Spec # - Select one specification code from the list set up for the job or manually enter the spec number.

Title or Section of Work - Enter a description here.

Detail # and Drawing # - Enter as applicable.

 

Impact

 


 

Impact Time and Impact Cost - Check these boxes as applicable.

 

Submittal & Response

 


 

Submitted To - Select from a list of companies included in the Team List.

Contact - Select a contact name for the company entered in the Submitted To field.

 

Information may be manually typed into the following fields or these fields will be automatically updated if you utilize the features on the Correspondence Tab.

 

Submittal Date - Automatically updated when the Out for Answer button is selected.

Response Due Date – Defaults based on the Properties setting.

Actual Response Date – Automatically updated when the Reply Receipt button is selected.

Reply Distribution Date – Automatically updated when the Distribute Response button is selected.

 

Response Text – Click on this field to open this memo field.  This field is not a rich text field so the font cannot be changed on this screen.  If you want to change the font, you will need to modify the RFI form and modify the format from that screen.

Response From – Select from a list of companies included in the Team List for the job.

Contact – Select from the list of contacts associated with the company in the Response From field or simply type in a name.

 

User Defined Fields

 


 

These fields are shared by all the logs and must first be defined through the Properties Button which is located on the PM Log Screen.  

 

Logical 1 – True or false field represented by check box.  If checked, then true else false.

Text 1 – Text field for alphanumeric characters.

Date 1 – Date field with drop down calendar.

Number 1 – Number field that allows decimal positions.

Integer 1 – Integer Number with NO decimal positions.
