PM_Log_Buttons

New – This option is used to create a new log entry.  A drop down list appears to allow you to select the type of log entry to be created.  The new log record is created and the log entry screen for the type of log will be displayed.  Refer to the documentation for the specific type of log entry being created for more details.

Delete - To remove a log entry, use Ctrl + Del on the keyboard.

Print – This option will print the corresponding form for the selected log type.  All forms are created in My AccuBuild Reports (MAR) and can be customized and tailored for each specific job, customer, or user.  If more than one form design exists for the selected log type, then a menu of all available forms will be displayed for the user to pick from.

Search – This option is one of the most time saving tools in the Project Management System.  A screen is displayed for entering the search text. Simply enter the desired text in the Text to Find field and click the Search button.  All text fields in every log record will be searched for matching text and a list of all the records that match the text will be displayed inside a grid showing the log record information including a drill down tree structure for the specific field of the log entry where the text was found.  Simply double-click on any entry to open the log record dialog screen for further information.   Hint: Use an asterisk (*) in your  search field as a wildcard.  For example, type:  conc* for a partial value of a word.  You must also use an asterisk when searching for number.  For example, type:  04-2001* to display all entries on job 04-2001 or where 04-2001 is used in a text field.
