Document Storage File Structure in AccuBuild

Documents that are stored in the AccuBuild Document Management System are stored on disk under AccuBuild's automated folder system with the file path stored into the database table.  The table that manages all of these documents is the DmMaster.adt table.  Documents that are stored on disk are referenced by their file path and stored according to a relative file folder location and a company file path.  The actual location of each document is derived by combining the relative file folder + company file path.  This file structure is necessary due to large disk space required for document management system.  The disk space required by the document management system will usually be much larger than the disk space required for accounting data, therefore, the documents can be easily ported to another disk drive without the need to move the company data files.  If the documents are ever moved to another location, the AccuBuild System will still be able to locate them via the relative file folder location as maintained in the Volume Label table (DmVolXrf.adt) and the Documents > Properties option.
