The top portion of the Cash Basis Costs Screen displays month-to-date, year-to-date, and job-to-date cash-basis amounts for each phase.  Check amounts and general journal entry amounts are included in the totals but unpaid accounts payable invoices are NOT included.   The bottom half of the screen contains three additional tabs: Cost Phase Info, Cost Transactions, Cost Summary.  In addition, Production Units can be manually entered for any phase on a job which will used on the Production Units Capsheet Report.

The grid at the top of the screen displays a variety of fields and allows for all columns to be sorted, filtered and grouped in order to find the phases faster.

Cost Phase Info

Need to change the description of your job cost phase on a specific job?  Check out the FAQs topic for complete details.

Estimated Production Units

Production Units are used to measure unit cost based on such things as square footage, cubic yards, linear footage etc., and are entered on a periodic basis as the units are completed.  Production units should not be confused with estimated units which are entered in job detail items. After the estimate is set up, completed production units can be logged.  Once the production units have been entered, print the Production Units Capsheet Report which is located on the MAR Reports I Job Cost Reports menu.  Refer to the topic Setup and Enter Production Units for step by step instructions.

Cost Transactions Tab

Displays the transaction detail of checks and general journal entries on each phase.

Cost Summary Tab

Costs for the current fiscal year are further broken down to individual monthly totals.
