Views

Create data views based on a standard MAR report.  Instead of viewing the data in a report format, the data will be displayed in a read-only data grid giving you access to the data pipes in the report with the ability to group and filter the data as needed.  This is a great tool when exporting your data to a spreadsheet; all report headers and footers will be excluded.

Creating Views on the AccuBuild Desktop

1. Right-click on the MAR Data Views bar and select 'add view to my list' from the pop up menu.  Open any report group (forms cannot be used when creating a view), select a MAR report (MAR reports have a blue icon) and then click Save to add the report to your list of views.  Although you can have multiple data views in your list, you may only select one report at a time to add it to the list.

2. Once the report has been added to your list of views, click on the link and the MAR Data Views screen will be displayed.  All the tables that have been created for the report will be listed in the View List field.  Open a table to view the data. The data will be current as of the moment that you selected the link on the views list.  If you remain in the Data Views screen for a long time, and you know that new data has been entered that will affect one of the data pipes in the report, then you will need to exit the Data Views screen and click on the view link to refresh the data.

3. The data in this screen may be grouped, sorted and filtered as well as printed or exported to Excel, Word, or PDF.  Be sure to view the documentation on using Company Inquiries to fully understand how to use this screen.  Remember that your view is unique to you and that your sorting or configuration of this table on this screen will be remembered by the system so the next time that you open this view, your settings will remain intact.

4.The views can be removed by choosing the 'remove selected view from my list' or 'remove ALL views from my list' on the pop up menu.

5.The MAR Data Views also support custom script classes (Version 9.4.0.1 Blue).
