Create quick links to a variety of items, including non-AccuBuild program functions, that can be accessed from within AccuBuild.

 

 

Creating a Shortcut on the AccuBuild Desktop        


Three kinds of shortcuts can be created on the desktop:

 

1. AccuBuild Menu Links - Right-click on the AccuBuild Menu Links bar and select 'add menu(s) to my list' from the pop up menu.  Open any module (File, Payroll, Payables, etc), select one or more menu options and then click Save to add the menu items(s) to your list of shortcuts.  Use the Control key to select more than one menu option at a time.

 

2. Program Links - Right-click on the Program Links bar and select 'add program link' from the pop up menu.  Browse to the location of the executable file, such as Microsoft Excel or Word, and click Save to add the program to your list of shortcuts.  You can also use this option to create a shortcut to a directory on a local or network drive.  Simply browse to the folder and click OK.

 

3. Website Links - Right click on the Website Links bar and select 'add website link' from the pop up menu.  Type in the website description and address and click Save to add the program to your list of shortcuts.  For example, enter www.accubuild.com to add AccuBuild's website home page to your list.  You do not need to add http:// to the website address.

 

As of Version 9.5.0.2 Blue, the Website Links has been updated to now support secured websites that require HTTPS addresses instead of HTTP addresses.  This will now allow users to set up an AB Analytics link inside the AB program.  For HTTPS addresses, simply check the box titled 'Enable HTTPS for this website'.

 

The links to any of the shortcuts can be removed by choosing the 'remove selected link' or 'remove ALL links' on the related pop up menu.
