Each user should refresh their AccuBuild screen after each update is installed so that they may see the new menu options and reports (as applicable). Instruct each user to follow these steps to refresh their screen. Open the AccuBuild program and open the company.  Click on the down-arrow on the main screen that is located under the X that is used to close the AccuBuild program.  Click Add or Remove Buttons; click Reset Toolbar.

ADMS - ENHANCEMENT

A new control has been added to the Document Management System to control documents that are being edited by other users in a network environment.

The Properties option of each document (right-mouse click on the document to view the menu options) has a new check box field titled 'Document in Use'.  This setting is checked whenever a document is opened for editing.  If for any reason, the document never gets filed back into ADMS, you can uncheck this setting to allow the document to be edited.

The new rules for editing an existing document in ADMS are as follows:

o

If the document to be edited will be filed as a "revised copy" of the original document, then the edit option will be allowed.  However, if the document revision will "replace" the existing copy of the current document, then the document's "Check Out" flag will be set to true so that other users in the system cannot edit the same document until it is checked back in.  If you attempt to edit a document that is being edited by another user, a message will be displayed indicating that the document is being edited by another user.  In addition, the user name who has the document checked out will be displayed along with the date and time when the document was checked out.  Once the user has filed the revised document back into ADMS, the document will then be available for others to edit.

ADMS - EXPLORER ENHANCEMENT

The ADMS Explorer now allows a partial job selection to allow multiple jobs to be selected for document processing.  Previously you could only select one job at a time or else All Jobs.  Now the partial job option allows you to select multiple jobs from the job list.  A new drop down check box displays the jobs and let you pick the jobs from the list.  A pop-up menu has also been added for the job list to clear all selections and to refresh the document folder list based on the selected jobs.

When deleting a document in the document explorer, the default behavior was to expand ALL folders on the list after the document was deleted.  This made it very difficult to maneuver back to the folder that was selected before the deletion process was carried out.  The expansion of all document folders after a document has been deleted will now be suppressed.

ADMS EXPLORER - CORRECTION

If the Document Explorer Window was closed while the document folders were being created, it would cause an access violation error.  The screen will now prompt you and will not allow the screen to be closed until the document folder creation process is completed.

When an email was dropped from Outlook into the ADMS Explore Window, MS Outlook was interpreting this as a "move" operation instead of a "copy" operation and was then moving the email to the "Deleted" mail folder on the Outlook Side.  This problem has been resolved and AccuBuild now overrides the default settings so that the original email in Outlook does NOT get moved to the deleted folder.  NOTE: This behavior did not occur on any of the other document screens (employee list, PM Log, etc.) only on the ADMS Explorer Window.

INVENTORY - CORRECTION

The inventory master list had a bug when using inventory receivers and stock fulfillments in the Orders Modules that involved pricing on parts where the prices were NOT based on a Price Each but rather on some other pricing such as per 100 or per 1000.  This issue has been fixed in this release.

The inventory update routine in the integrity tests was not updating the price correctly for parts that had NO balances in the previous fiscal year.  This issue has been corrected in this release.

PURCHASE ORDERS - ENHANCEMENT

The Purchase Order Screen has been enhanced for speed performance.  The new orders grid on the left hand side of the screen helps to locate and organize orders using sorting, grouping, and filtering, but it tends to slow down on large databases with thousands of orders because ALL of the records (orders) need to be loaded into memory (both open and closed orders) in order to do the proper sorting, filtering etc.  A new check box has been added to this screen called Enhanced Column Sorting and Filtering.  This new feature is unchecked by default which will speed up the screen and make it faster to manage large datasets.  You can still group records and sort and filter on the groups, however, the in-line sorting and filtering on non-grouped fields will not work.  You can turn on this option at any time by checking the box.

Bug Fix – The speed buttons on the PO Master screen were not working properly and were forcing the current order information to be cancelled once a speed button was pressed for adding or editing master list info on the fly such as vendor list, payment terms, shipping info etc.  This problem has been fixed and these buttons can be used on the fly without having to cancel the current order information.

PAYROLL TIME CARD IMPORT - ENHANCEMENT

A new excel time card import spreadsheet is now available in the AccuBuild ODBC Folder which uses the Phase Master list for the phase lookup instead of the actual phases on each job.  The new spreadsheet is called "TimeCardMasterPhaseMasterLookup.xls".

PAYROLL TIME CARD IMPORT - CORRECTION

The timecard import routine was getting the following error if employee had local deductions with cutoff limits: TIMECARD: Cannot perform this operation on a closed dataset. This problem would only happen if the employee list was never opened before running the import process.  The problem has been fixed in this release.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT – CORRECTIONS

The status column on the PM Log was displaying a blank column which was not reflecting the status of the log item.  This column now displays the status description and now the log can be grouped and sorted by the status description field making it easier to locate log entries based on "approved", "out for answer" etc.

When an RFI Log was closed for resubmitting, a series of nag screens were displayed indicating that "You must enter a "Proposed Cost" before you edit this field."  These messages were incorrect and will no longer be displayed.
