AccuBuild Office Add In – Correction

·

When accessing a calendar event in Outlook, the AccuBuild Office Add In was generating an Access Violation Error in module ABOffice.dll.  This problem has been corrected in this release.

Important Note: You will need to reinstall the Office Add In component from the AccuBuild Help menu in order to get the updated ABOffice.dll file registered on each workstation that uses the AccuBuild Office Add In module.

·

The Send and Tag option for a new email option is now working correctly.

AccuBuild Blog (RSS Feed) - ENHANCEMENTS

·

The AccuBuild Blog Screen has been changed to show the proper date of each blog entry.

·

The File Menu in AccuBuild has a new menu option entitled Enable AccuBuild Blog Updates which when enabled (checked) will update the AccuBuild Screen with the most recent 3 blog entries from the Tech Tips and the News & Events categories from the AccuBuild Blog.  If this menu option is unchecked, then the AccuBuild Blog Window on the main program menu will be disabled.  This option is saved on a user by user basis.

Important Note: If you are having issues opening the AccuBuild Program from a user workstation and you want to disable the RSS Feed manually, open the ABRSSLOAD.INI file in the user's desktop under the Application Data\AccuBuild Folder of the users local desktop Documents and Settings Folder and set the AUTORSSFEED to FALSE.

EQUIPMENT - ENHANCEMENTS

·

The Equipment List Screen has been updated to handle equipment pictures more effectively.  The picture format types have been expanded to include other graphic formats such as JPG, GIF, etc instead of just BMP formats.  This will make it much simpler to load pictures into the equipment list directly from digital cameras without the need of converting to BMP format.

·

A compression scheme has been added to the equipment list so that new pictures are compressed in size before they are saved to the database in order to conserve space in the database for high resolution pictures.

·

The equipment pictures have been moved to a new Photo Tab on the Equipment List to help speed up the browsing process of the equipment numbers on the equipment list.  As long as the Photo Tab is not selected, the skipping process between equipment numbers will be much faster because the load process for the equipment picture will be skipped.

·

A new Copy to Clipboard Button has been added on the Photo Tab which allows for the equipment pictures to be copied to the Windows Clipboard.

·

A new compression utility called ADMSEquipImgConverter.exe is now available in the AccuBuild Program Folder and can be used to compress and convert existing pictures in the Equipment List in order to reduce the size of the equipment database table and save on disk space.  This utility should only be run when all users are out of the AccuBuild Program, and an AccuBuild Backup should always be made of the company data before using this utility.  This utility is only necessary for companies that have been storing high resolution equipment pictures in the equipment list.  All pictures are converted to JPG format and compressed to reduce the size of the equipment list table.
