Each user must refresh their AccuBuild screen after this update is installed so that they may see the new menu options and reports (as applicable). Instruct each user to follow these steps to refresh their screen. Open the AccuBuild program and open the company.  Click on the down-arrow on the main screen that is located under the X that is used to close the AccuBuild program.  Click Add or Remove Buttons; click Reset Toolbar.

NEW FEATURE - LIVE ACCUBUILD BLOG FEED

The AccuBuild Main Menu now contains a live feed to the AccuBuild Blog for news and event updates.  This screen will display the latest AccuBuild News and allow you to click on the links to access the news articles.  This new feature will help us to better communicate with our customers regarding new software updates that are available on our website along with other important news bulletins and industry updates.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - NEW FEATURE

A new set of menus have been added to the Accounts Payable system for processing Comdata Virtual Master Card Payments.  This feature allows you to pay vendors with a Comdata MasterCard through the AccuBuild System electronically over the internet.  This eliminates the processing of printing checks and mailing them out to the vendors.  Please review this new feature in the AccuBuild Help System for more information.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - PROPOSED PAYMENT REPORT (MAR VERSION)

The Proposed Payment Journal which displays the invoices that have been selected to be paid has been converted to MAR.  Therefore, users who must print this report will need to be given access to the report through MAR.  Go to Reports | All Reports and click on the Properties button.  Open the Vendor A/P Reports group and select the A/P Proposed Payments - Auto Checks.  Right click on the report name and click Update Report Security and select the user name(s) that will have access to this report.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT – NEW FEATURE

The user interface for the Document Management System has been changed to use a new folder system much like the Microsoft Explorer and has been enhanced with several new features.  Most of these features were added as a result of the discussions regarding ADMS at the 2008 AccuBuild User Conference where an overwhelming majority of users were looking for a folder type interface for storing and retrieving documents in ADMS.  This new interface will make it much easier and faster to use and allow for more enhanced security when dealing with documents in ADMS. The new ADMS Features include the following:

o

User Defined Folders – Folders can now be created inside ADMS for enhanced organization of documents.

o

Folder Security – User Defined Folders can be secured based on Users and/or User Groups so that confidential documents can be protected from other users in the system.

o

Folder Templates can now be created for employees, jobs, equipment, clients, orders, and inventory so that a standard set of folders are automatically added to the system whenever a new employee, client, etc. is set up in AccuBuild.

o

ADMS Explorer – A new Explorer Window is available on the documents menu which can remain open as a separate window in AccuBuild to give users quick access to documents in ADMS.

o

The documents panels has several new options including new folder handling options, cut and paste operations between ADMS and the Windows Clipboard, and the ability to drag (move) files and user defined folders to another folder location in ADMS.

DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT – NEW FEATURE

·

There is a new option called Microsoft Office Suite Add In for ADMS which allows you to work with the Office Word, Excel, and Outlook and connect directly to the document management system without having the AccuBuild program open.  This will make it easy to browse the ADMS folders for documents that you want to attach to an email, or to create a letter or spreadsheet and file it directly to an ADMS folder.    Please contact AccuBuild's sales department if you wish to purchase this option.

MAR REPORT – CORRECTION

The A/P Aging Reports in MAR had a bug in the data script that was used to build the report data for reconstructed payable invoices.  This problem has been corrected.

MAR REPORT SCREEN - ENHANCEMENTS

The MAR Report Screen now allows for Excel spreadsheets to be attached and classed for building ODBC data connections for selected job and equipment reports.

MAR REPORT SECURITY – CORRECTION

In some instances, the group security feature for MAR Reports was incorrectly classifying a Group ID with a User ID due to a rounding issue.  This problem has been corrected.

MAR REPORT - JOB COST REPORT MODIFICATION

The Budget Revision Capsheet Report has been modified for the cost to complete formulas to handle cost overruns on original budget amounts.  Previously, if the costs incurred to date exceeded the cost estimate, then the estimated cost to complete would show a negative amount (estimate – cost), now if the costs exceed the estimate, the estimated cost to complete will be set to zero.

PAYROLL - TAX UPDATES

Arizona State Withholding tables have been changed and the new rates are effective for wages paid on and after April 30, 2009. Note: Arizona Employee files should be reviewed and updated to the new percentage rates before running the next payroll.  The system will automatically use the new rates each time payroll is run but you will get a warning message on each employee who has not been updated for the new percentages.

California State Withholding tables have been revised as a result of the recently passed budget.  These tables should be put into place immediately per the California Employment Development Department: "This will help minimize any potential tax liability your employees may face when they file their 2009 State personal income tax return."

As a result of recent law changes, the New York State personal income tax rates and the Yonkers resident personal income tax surcharge tax rates have changed for certain taxpayers.  These tax rates are effective for payrolls made on or after May 1, 2009.  Note: The New York City personal income tax rates and the Yonkers nonresident earnings tax rate have not changed.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT – ENHANCEMENT

The PM Log can now be opened as a 'Non Modal Window' which means that the screen does not have to be closed in order to do other activities in AccuBuild.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT – CORRECTION

When the Properties were changed in the PM Log while other users were in the log at the same time, the property changes were not being saved properly which required all users to exit the PM Log whenever the properties needed to be changed – this problem has been corrected.

The Copy Job function on the PM Log was listing all jobs for the Source Job and the Target Job.  These job selections are now limited to the jobs that the user has access to instead of all jobs.

Syncing of Tasks and Events from the My Day tab to Outlook is now working correctly.  Outlook does not have to be opened any longer for the sync process to work.
