JOB COST - ENHANCEMENTS

The Contact Roles on the Update Jobs | Job Info Tab have been enhanced to include new fields for Assistant 1 and Assistant 2 which will work the same as the Job Supervisor, Project Manager, and Salesman roles.  This addition allows for two assistants to be added to any project allowing the job list to be filtered for specific administrative assistants on the project.  This will also enhance the security on the Project Management Log since it inherits the job list security when the PM Log is opened.

The Detail of Job Billings Report (Detail Option) has been updated to print the detail items in order by the item number.

JOB COST - CORRECTION

The contract status reports (WIP Schedule, Completed Contracts Schedule, Over/Under Billings Schedule etc.) in MAR were not reporting contract billing amounts correctly on jobs that involved multiple revenue accounts and the totals were not matching the totals from the traditional versions of these reports.  This problem has been corrected.

JOB COST - SPEED IMPROVEMENTS

The Job List was modified to remove the new data grid for the detail items and revert back to the traditional grids due to speed constrictions for jobs with thousands of detail items.  In addition the pop up menu options for the detail grid have been removed as they are not applicable for the traditional grids.  This change will make it much faster to switch between jobs on the job list and to edit and add new detail items to a job.  The pop up menu items that are no longer available include the following:

Restore Grid Defaults

Use Ellipsis on Grid Overflow

Adjust Cell Height on Overflow

Enable Grid Totals

In Addition, the lookup controls for lookup of jobs by job number, job description, and bill to customer have been added above the job list screen.

PURCHASE ORDERS - ENHANCEMENTS

The part number field for purchase order line items have been replaced with a new single grid lookup control to make it much faster to locate inventory part numbers for purchase orders.  The new lookup control behaves like a grid with custom settings to allow the end user to set the lookup control for just the fields required to locate inventory parts.  Multiple columns can be displayed in the lookup control and each column can be sorted and filtered like a grid complete with incremental searching on any field.  In addition the field groupings are supported by dragging any field to the top of the grid.  Once the control has been modified, the changes are written to disk and saved for the next time the lookup control is used.

Note:  Once you locate the desired inventory part number in the grid, simply double-click on any column to select the part number and close the lookup screen.

USER MAINTENANCE - ENHANCEMENTS

The User Maintenance | Project Management Tab has been enhanced to allow additional job list security settings for the two new Assistant Roles on each project: Assistant 1 and Assistant 2.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT - ENHANCEMENTS

The Documents Folder Log now allows individual document folders to be secured based on the user's role on the project which include the Job Supervisor, Project Manager, Salesman, Assistant 1, and Assistant 2.  This allows you to limit user access to selected document folders based on the user's log in role for AccuBuild.  When the user does not have access to the documents in the folder, they will not be able to perform any document management functions including dropping or attaching new documents to the folder.

The Documents Folder now contains a security tab for setting the document security for the folder.  Only users who have access to the Supervisor Options menu in Project Management will be able to see the Security Tab and set the document security options (refer to the Restrictions Tab under User Maintenance Option for more information; also refer to the discussion on PM security in the Getting Started portion of the PM Manual).

A new menu option called Copy Job has been added to the pop up menu on the Project Management Log which is used to copy logs and lists from one job to another along with all attached documents.  The main purpose of this feature is so that job templates can be set up one time under a job number that can then be copied each time a new job is set up in the system.  This feature can be very useful for job documents that are used on every project and stored in the Document Folder Log entries of the Project Management Log.

ACCUBUILD SECURITY - ENHANCEMENTS

The menu system in AccuBuild has been changed to hide all menus from a user when the user does not have access to the menu option.  Previously, all menu options were dimmed and the user could NOT click on the option but could see that the option existed.  Now the users will only see what they are allowed to see and nothing else.  Please refer to the Restrictions Tab on the User and Group Setup Screen under System Administration for more information.
