Version 8.4.0.1 - September 4, 2008

Version 8.4.0.1 consists of all color patches for version 8.4.0.0.  This release will also update any install of 8.3.0.3 or greater as a new install.  This will fix issues with missing files caused from users uninstalling AccuBuild from workstations.

 

HELP MENU - NEW FEATURE

 

A new menu option has been added to the Help Menu in AccuBuild called Check AccuBuild Website for Updates. This option will open up the My Downloads page on the AccuBuild Website so that you can check for the latest download files without the need to login to the website with a username and password.

 

PAYROLL - ENHANCEMENT - TIME CARD IMPORT CHANGES

 

The Time Card Import feature for Excel Spreadsheets has been enhanced to process multiple ascii files at one time.  This makes it much easier to import data from several jobsite locations using separate time card spreadsheets for each jobsite.  The new import process for handling ascii files from Excel Spreadsheets are processed as follows:

 

The source folder where the ascii file(s) to be imported are located is scanned to build a list of all ascii files based on the file extension of the ascii file (for example '.TXT'). Note: You may wish to create a special folder under your Company Folder for handling ascii files.

 

Each ascii file is copied to a ProcessedFolder located under the source folder and the original file is deleted from the source folder once it has been imported into the system.  If you ever need to reprocess an ascii file, simply copy it back from the ProcessFolder to the original sorce folder and run the import process again.

 

The Excel Spreadsheets for Time Card Import have been enhanced to allow the export feature to export to another spreadsheet instead of an ascii file.  The purpose for this is so that multiple spreadsheets from multiple jobsites can be combined into a single spreadsheet for review and editing BEFORE exporting to an ascii file for importing into AccuBuild.  See the settings tab on the spreadsheet for more information.

 

PAYROLL - CORRECTION

 

The Monthly Union Reports were not always reporting the proper effective dates for rate changes when running historical reports from past periods.  This problem has been corrected.

 

JOB COST - CONTRACT BILLING CORRECTION

 

Removed the audit trail during posting of contract billings to speed up the posting process.

 

JOB COST - NEW MAR REPORT

 

A new job cost capsheet report has been added to the MAR Library for handling unposted payroll expenses.  The new report is called Job Cost Capsheet Including Unposted Expenses and contains a new column for unposted labor and in-house equipment rental from unposted time card batches.  This new report works in conjunction with the time card entries that exist in ANY user batch to produce the labor expense and in-house equipment rental under a new Unposted Expense column along with a detail of the unposted transactions in the report drill down.

 

This new report used in conjunction with the Time Card Spreadsheet Import option of AccuBuild is very effective for obtaining "real time" job cost reports for companies with heavy labor and equipment usage.

 

INVENTORY - ENHANCEMENTS

 

The Stock Request picklist option for job stock orders has been updated to use the stock order price for each stock request item instead of the normal inventory average price.  The inventory pick list will now include the order number and item number for refererence as to where the price is pulled for the stock request.

 

MAR Inventory Report by Job - This report has been enhanced to show the order amounts and the transferred amounts with the variance between the two along with item pricing in the drill downs.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

 

Change Order Numbering - The Category Change Order Number computation has been enhanced to keep track of each categories sequential change order number as the CORs are attached to an approved change order.  This is an optional number but represents the sequential change order number for each individual category on the job.  The Category Change Order number is found on the COR Entry Screen and may be changed as required for individual tracking needs.  Refer to the following example for more information:
