The Payroll > Employees > Earnings Tab displays payroll check information for a selected employee.  This information is updated each time a payroll check is processed or voided through the system.  

 

The employee records on the Payroll Check History Tab, Time Card History Tab and Certified Payroll History Tab are displayed automatically as each employee is selected on the left side of the screen.

To view the employee earnings:

 

1.Select an employee name on the left side of the screen.

 

2.Click on the Earnings Tab.

 

3.By default, the Type of Earnings field will default to All States.  

 

To see the current year earnings total for a specific state, select the State and then click the Lookup Current Earnings button.  

The check, time card and certified payroll transaction records will be automatically filtered whenever the state selection is changed.

 

4.The employee records on the following tabs are displayed automatically as each employee is selected on the left side of the screen.    
The data on each tab is presented in a grid which can be filtered, sorted and grouped as needed.  

Year to Date Earnings Tab - Displays summarized earnings for the current calendar year as stored in the employee master file (personal.adt).  

 

oBy default this will display the current earnings for all states in which the employee worked.  

oTo see the current year earnings total for a specific state, select the state and then click the Lookup Current Earnings button.  

 

Payroll Check History Tab - Displays all historical payroll checks from the prchecks.adt table for the selected employee, sorted in check date order.  Use this option to lookup payroll check dates for employee verifications and unemployment notices.  

 

Time Card History Tab - Displays ALL historical time card records from the timecard.adt table for the selected employee, sorted in check date order.  

 

Certified Payroll History - Displays ALL historical certified payroll records from the cprdetl.adt table for the selected employee. This table does not contain a state code record and will not be affected by the state code filter.

 

If you suspect that the totals may not be correct, perform the Payroll > Integrity Tests > Update Employee Totals option.  This option will scan all historical payroll detail files and update the year-to-date totals for all employees.
