Federal withholding tax tables for 2012 are included in this release.

The following State withholding tax tables for 2012 have been added or updated in this release:

 

California - updated

Connecticut – New tax calculation rules for 2012 have been updated

District of Columbia – New withholding tables added for 2012

Idaho - Withholding tables updated for 2012

Indiana County Tax – Carroll, Hancock, Hendricks, Jasper, Martin, & Tipton counties have been updated for new 2012 tax rates.

Kentucky – New personal exemption updated for 2012

Maine – New withholding tables added for 2012

Minnesota – New withholding tables added for 2012

New Mexico – New withholding tables added for 2012

New York - Withholding tables updated for 2012

New York - City of Yonkers - Withholding tables updated for 2012

North Dakota – New withholding tables added for 2012

Oklahoma - Updated withholding tables added for 2012

Oregon – New withholding tables added for 2012

Rhode Island – New withholding tables added for 2012

Vermont – New withholding tables added for 2012

 

W-2 Format changes are included in this release for 2010 W-2s.

 

EFW2 Electronic W-2 File Changes for 2011 W-2 Filing

 

A new field has been added to the RE Record called 'Kind of Employer' and must be set up in AccuBuild prior to creating the electronic EFW2 file. Click on the Properties button from the W-2s screen and then locate the new setting under the tab titled 'EFW2 Employer Info'. Select the appropriate option from the drop down option list.

 

A new field has been added to the RW Record and the RT Record called 'Cost of Employer Sponsored Health Coverage'. This new field will be controlled on the employee screen under the Fed tab for the W-2 Box 12 setting using a new code 'DD'.

 

A new field has been added to the RO Record and the RU Record called 'Designated Roth Contributions under a governmental section 457(b) plan'. This new field will be controlled on the employee screen under the Fed tab for the W-2 Box 12 setting using a new code 'EE'.

 

ACCUWAGE 2011 – There are now two formats for the AccuWage test program on the IRS Website – we recommend the "AccuWage Visual Basic - 2011 Tax Year" option which should not require and additional software drivers to be installed. There is also a JAVA based option for the 2011 AccuWage.
