Inventory by Job

The Inventory by Job Report uses a query of all Stock Order Items that are ordered for specific jobs and tracks the ordered quantities and the received quantities with a breakdown by part number, job, and cost phase.  In addition, the stock request/fulfillment quantities for each specific inventory part related to the stock orders are included in the report in order to obtain the quantities remaining to be transferred out of inventory and onto the jobs.

The purpose of this report is to give the purchasing agent an easy method of determining the inventory items have been ordered for each project and the status of the ordered items without the need for running a complete inventory report.  In addition, this report is very useful in determining which items have been transferred out of inventory and expensed to the job via the Stock Request / Stock Fulfillment process.

Note: The ordered quantities used in this report will depend on the status of the Stock Order when the report is generated.  If the Stock Order is still open, then the actual quantity on the order will be used, however, if the Stock Order is Closed, then the invoiced quantity will be used as the ordered quantity.  The reason for this is that by nature, stock orders might be shipped with shortages or overages and the actual invoiced quantity is the more accurate number when these shortages or overages occur.
