Quarterly Federal & State Payroll Tax Reports

Top  Previous  Next

This option allows you to print the following reports:

Tax Liability Record - This option prints a report of the federal tax liability based on the check dates of the selected payroll quarter.  Each check date will be capped with totals for use in completing the tax liability record (Schedule B) on the Federal Payroll Tax return (Form 941).

Note: As of Version 7.2.0.7 Blue, Form 941 and Form 941 - Schedule B can be printed from the Reports system on the Main Menu.  Open the Payroll report branch to access the forms.

Tax Information Report - This option prints a report that supplies all of the totals that will be required to manually fill out the State and Federal payroll tax returns.  The report includes all of the 'subject to' wages, the withheld taxes and the accrued payroll tax amounts that are paid by the employer.  The report is based on check dates and includes subtotals for each payroll ending period throughout the quarter, along with the grand totals on the last page for use in filling out the quarterly tax returns.

State Unemployment (SUI) Report - This option prints a summary of all checks written to each employee based on check dates and includes the gross wage amount, the wages subject to SUI, the calculated SUI tax amount along with the SUI state code.  This report may also be printed in detail with other options by selecting the State Unemployment (SUI) Report option from the Payroll > Reports menu. Note: If you own the Multi-State Payroll option, then be sure to print this report for each individual state rather than for all states.

Reporting Options:

Payroll Quarter - The quarterly federal and state reports are based on the calendar year quarters Jan-Mar (1st), Apr-Jun (2nd), July-Sep (3rd) and Oct-Dec(4th).  Select the calendar year and the quarter to be printed.  AccuBuild will then select only those checks written for the given period.

Single State Report - This option will print the report for employees with earnings within a selected state.  Select the state by entering the two-letter state id or select the state from the drop down list.  If this option is not enabled, the report will contain data for all earnings within all states for the selected employees.
