Equipment Info Tab

The Equipment Info Tab contains the basic information about the equipment such as the manufacturer, the identification number, the purchase date and price, and the license information.  Most of these fields are self-explanatory and most are optional.  Each piece of equipment also has a flag to classify the equipment as active or inactive.  The equipment list can then be filtered for active equipment by using the radio buttons on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

 

Equip No - This field is alpha-numeric and may contain up to 8 characters.

 

Category - Each piece of equipment must be linked to an equipment category. The category tells the system which general ledger accounts and job cost phases are used when recording rental income or equipment costs.

 

Operator's Emp No - This field is a link to the employee list in payroll.  The equipment operator must first be set up in the payroll module before the employee can be linked to the piece of equipment.
