Custom Reports

The Custom Reports feature expands the reporting capabilities of the AccuBuild program by allowing for company or industry specific reports to be designed using Seagate Software's Crystal Reports Version 8.5 software. Unlike the Report Substitution feature, custom reports do not have to use the same files and parameters as existing pre-designed reports. Custom reports can be designed from scratch and access any company or user files in the AccuBuild system. In the BDE Version of AccuBuild, all custom reports must be stored in the company's directory under the AccuBuild folder.  In the Enterprise Version of AccuBuild, custom reports may be stored in any directory.

Once a custom report is designed, it is accessed directly through the Custom Reports option on the File Menu. On the Custom Reports Screen, click on the Select Custom Report File Button, select the desired report, click Open and then click Screen or Print. At this point, Crystal Reports will prompt for any parameters found in the report and the report will be generated.

AccuBuild also contains a built-in custom report generator called Report Builder Pro which is located on the File Menu.  This is option can be used for queries or sorting of data and for creating simple custom reports.
