Each user should refresh their AccuBuild screen after each update is installed so that they may see the new menu options and reports (as applicable). Instruct each user to follow these steps to refresh their screen. Open the AccuBuild program and open the company.  Click on the down-arrow on the main screen that is located under the X that is used to close the AccuBuild program.  Click Add or Remove Buttons; click Reset Toolbar.

 

Note:  Be sure to read all of the 8.4.0.6 'color' release notes if you have not updated the AB program since October.

 

FILE - OPEN COMPANY – ENHANCEMENT

 

The new feature for the Open Company Dialog which remembers the last company and user name can now be configured (turned on or off) by individual users. The File Menu now has a new option entitled Auto Load Company and User Settings which can be used to enable this new feature. If the menu option is checked, then the new Open Company feature will be enabled. If you do not want to use this new feature, then you can leave this option unchecked. Note: You will need to refresh you Menu Settings in order to access this new menu setting.

 

PAYROLL – FEDERAL WITHHOLDING TAX - NEW FEATURE

 

The Federal Government has introduced a new Non Resident Alien Tax calculation method and withholding tables for computing Federal Withholding taxes on Non Resident Aliens. These new tax tables and calculation methods are included in the AccuBuild Tax Updates for 2010. Refer to the new setting for Non Resident Aliens on the Federal Tab of the Employee List for more information. If you have non resident aliens on your payroll, you will need to check this new box for each non-resident alien employee in order to computer the federal withholding taxes correctly on those employees.

 

PAYROLL TAX TABLE UPDATES FOR 2010

 

Arizona – new percentage options have been issued for 2010. You should review and update any Arizona employees with the new percentage rate. If the new rates are not updated in the employee file, the program will automatically use the new percentage and issue a warning that the employee file should be updated.

Indiana – The following counties have new tax rate changes for 2010 which are included in this update: Bartholomew, Carrol, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Fulton, Grant, Hancock, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Parke, Posey, St. Joseph, and Steuben

California – 2010 tax tables

Maine – 2010 tax tables

Minnesota – 2010 tax tables

New York State & Yonkers City Tax updates for 2010

Rhode Island – 2010 tax tables

Vermont – 2010 tax tables

Federal Withholding Tax Tables for 2010 including two new withholding brackets (27% & 30%)
