Microsoft Windows Security Warning

Top  Previous  Next

Windows XP Service Pack 2 enhances the security of your computer by checking that programs that are downloaded from the Web have a digital signature attached.  Windows tests programs that are run from a network drive (ie. M drive) in the same manner.  Digital signatures verify the authenticity of software and contain information about the publisher of the software. The AccuBuild program does not contain a digital signature, therefore the following warning may appear:

The publisher could not be verified.  Are you sure you want to run this software?

 Name:  AccubldE.exe

 Publisher: Unknown Publisher

 Type:  Application

 From:  M:\Accubld8\  (your program location)

To prevent the warning from appearing each time you open the AccBuild program, please follow these steps:

1.Open Internet Explorer
2.Click Tools
3.Click Internet Options
4.Click the Security Tab
5.Highlight (Click) the Local Intranet Icon
6.Click the Sites button
7.Click the Advanced button
8.Type the name of the server (UNC path) where AccuBuild resides – Example: \\servername
9.Click the add button (website text box will read file://servername)
10.Click OK
