Turn on the AccuBuild Blog

1.The File Menu in AccuBuild has an option titled Enable AccuBuild Blog Updates which when checked will update the News & Events section on the AccuBuild Desktop with the most current blog entries from the AccuBuild website.  If this menu option is unchecked, then the blog entries will not be displayed. This option is saved on a user by user basis.

 

2.Troubleshoot issues with the blog.

 

•A text file titled “AccuBuildBlogRSSFrameExecuteFailure.txt” is written to the AccuBuild Program directory when a failure is encountered during the connection to the AccuBuild Blog Website.

 

•If you are having issues opening the AccuBuild Program on a workstation and you want to disable the RSS Feed manually, open the ABRSSLOAD.INI file in the C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\AccuBuild folder and set the AUTORSSFEED to FALSE. (Version 9.4.0.0)

 

•An INI setting titled “UserAgent” was added to the AccuBuildRSS ini file which controls the AccuBuild Blog launch.  The User Agent option is optional but allows you to overwrite the text setting for the HTTP component which is currently set to the following string by default (Version 9.4.0.0)
